Ashanti Rescue update

On June 9, 2012, I shared the beginnings of a rescue on an Iplehouse Ashanti. (http://etsylaurielenzangels.blogspot.com/2012/06/ashanti-rescue.html)

This poor doll was the victim of fogging from the varnish used to seal her faceup.

With a lot of elbow grease and even more prayers, I managed to save her and restore her beauty.

Quite a sense of accomplishment, a huge relief, and great joy!

Ashanti rescue

Something horrid happened to this poor doll's varnish. Time to restore her beauty!

Discoloration along the top of the head where it meets the skull cap.  Even more obvious once I've removed all the varnish. Thankfully, it's where the wig would cover it up. Still, I intend to match the paint to the skin, and see what I can do with this.
